The project
Creating an animation of a Rolex watch was a challenging and rewarding personal project. The idea behind this project came from my interest in both luxury watches and 3D animation. I wanted to challenge myself by completely modeling and animating an iconic product like a Rolex watch myself, with the goal of creating a visually appealing animation that reflects the elegance and precision of the watch. This project gave me the opportunity to further develop my skills in Blender and to experiment with new techniques and workflows.
The goal was not only to model a realistic watch, but also to create a high-quality animation similar to a professional Rolex advertising video. This required a meticulous approach, from initial sketches and reference images to final rendering and post-production. Every detail had to be perfect to fully showcase the luxury and craftsmanship of a Rolex watch. The project offered me deep insight into the complex world of product modeling and animation, and showed me the importance of patience and precision in the creative process.

For this project, I modeled a Rolex watch completely from scratch in Blender. Modeling the watch was an intensive process where I paid attention to every little detail, from the dial and watch case to the strap and clasp mechanism. The goal was to make every aspect of the watch as accurate and realistic as possible so that the end result was not only aesthetically pleasing, but also technically correct.
In addition to modeling, I also worked on the texturing and lighting of the watch. It was important to use materials that reflect the luxurious look of a Rolex, such as polished steel, glass and sophisticated dial textures. By using advanced shader techniques, I was able to accurately simulate the reflections and refractions of the glass and metal surfaces, contributing to a realistic end result.
The animation portion of the project focused on mimicking the fluid movements and elegant presentation typical of Rolex advertising videos. I carefully animated the movements of the watch to create a dynamic and engaging image that holds the viewer’s attention. The camera animations were designed to highlight the details of the watch in an attractive way, with soft transitions and smooth movements that emphasize the luxury nature of the watch.
The result
The end result of this project is a detailed and realistic animation of a Rolex watch that convincingly captures the essence of the brand. The animation shows the watch in different angles and exposures, clearly highlighting its refined details and craftsmanship. The smooth movements and subtle lighting effects create a professional and luxurious look similar to that of an official Rolex advertising video.
Thanks to the combination of accurate modeling, realistic texturing and dynamic animation, the animation is able to impressively present the timeless beauty and technical perfection of a Rolex watch. This project demonstrates my ability to model and animate complex objects, as well as my attention to detail and ability to present a product in an attractive and professional manner.
